MindWell Counseling LLC offers a variety of services, including individual therapy, couples therapy, mental performance counseling, group counseling, and workshops.
Sessions can be scheduled in person at our Suwanee Office on Wednesdays or virtually via our HIPPA compliant client portal, SimplePractice, on Mondays or Fridays.
Appointment availability varies depending on both your therapist's schedule and your availability. We strive to offer appointments within 1-2 weeks of initial contact and will work with you to find a time that fits as soon as possible.
The frequency of sessions is personalized based on your goals, needs, and preferences. Many clients begin with sessions weekly or every other week to build rapport and momentum. As progress is made and goals are met, your schedule can be adjusted to meet your changing needs. Together, you and your therapist will determine a schedule that best supports you.
The length of therapy varies from person to person. It depends on your goals, the concerns you're seeking support for, and your progress over time. Some clients benefit from short-term therapy focused on a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy for ongoing growth and support.Your therapist will work collaboratively with you to determine what feels best and will be most effective for your therapy journey.
MindWell Counseling is a private-pay practice and is not in network with insurance plans. Choosing private-pay services allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and autonomy in your care, without the limitations that insurance companies may place on treatment.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I am happy to provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Because out-of-network coverage varies by plan, it is recommended that you contact your insurance company before your first appointment to verify your benefits, reimbursement rates, deductible, and any applicable requirements.
Please note that insurance reimbursement typically requires a mental health diagnosis and clinical documentation to support medical necessity. If you choose to seek reimbursement through your insurance, a qualifying diagnosis will be included on the superbill submitted for your claim.
We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards (Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Discover), and Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards that display a major credit card logo. If you plan to use your HSA or FSA card, we recommend confirming your plan's eligibility requirements with your benefits administrator, as coverage and reimbursement policies may vary.
Sliding scale appointments may be available on a limited basis, depending on therapist availability. If cost is a concern, please reach out to discuss your options.
Our current session fees are:
Full payment is due at the time of each session.
We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment, as well as missed appointments (no-shows), are the client’s responsibility and will be charged the full session fee.
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good FAith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019.
